ASSURANS Features
ASSURANS is an ED treatment medication designed to improve symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED).

This medication contains the same ingredient as the globally renowned Viagra, with its distinctive feature being large teal diamond-shaped tablets.

ASSURANS Effects
The main component, Sildenafil, inhibits PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5), an enzyme that hinders erectile function.

The PDE-5 enzyme breaks down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which is necessary for erection.

When cyclic guanosine monophosphate is broken down, it results in an inability to achieve an erection, a condition known as ED (erectile dysfunction).

Sildenafil inhibits the PDE-5 enzyme, effectively expanding blood vessels around the penis and relaxing the smooth muscles in the penile corpus cavernosum tissue.

Through this action, it promotes vasodilation and muscle relaxation, allowing more blood to flow into the penile corpus cavernosum tissue, thereby inducing an erection.

ASSURANS Duration
The effect lasts for 4 to 6 hours, but it does not force an erection; natural erection still requires sexual stimulation or arousal.

Sildenafil: 20mg

For first-time users, it is recommended to use a pill splitter to divide the tablet and start with half a dose.

Timing of Administration
The correct way to take ASSURANS is on an empty stomach, one hour before sexual activity.

After the initial dose, subsequent doses should be taken at least 24 hours apart.

Recommended Dosage
For first-time users or those sensitive to the medication, it is recommended to use a pill cutter to split the tablet in half and start with a small dose of 10mg.

If the 10mg dose is not effective, gradually increase to 20mg; adjust the appropriate dose based on individual circumstances.

Note: Some users may take 2-3 times the prescribed dose in pursuit of stronger effects, but this will not enhance the drug's efficacy.

The maximum dose per sexual activity should not exceed 20mg.

Food Effects
It is recommended to remain on an empty stomach for 2 hours before taking.

This is related to the absorption process of sildenafil, the main component of ASSURANS: this component needs to be absorbed through the intestines into the bloodstream.

If there is food in the stomach, the tablet may be absorbed by the stomach before reaching the intestines.

Additionally, a high-fat diet can cause oil to adhere to the intestinal wall, severely affecting absorption of the component.

Poor absorption will lead to reduced or ineffective efficacy; be sure to take it on an empty stomach.

The drug is absorbed 30 minutes after administration; you can eat normally thereafter.

Alcohol Effects
Although it can be taken with alcohol, note that the vasodilatory effect may accelerate intoxication; avoid excessive alcohol consumption.

Contraindications
・Patients with cardiovascular diseases (heart/vascular diseases unsuitable for sexual activity)

・Patients with severe hepatic impairment

・Patients with hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension

・Patients who have had a stroke/cerebral hemorrhage/myocardial infarction within the last 6 months

Main Side Effects
Main side effects include decreased blood pressure due to vasodilation, eye congestion, facial flushing, palpitations, nasal congestion, and others.

These symptoms are believed to be caused by the vasodilatory effect, and they may be alleviated when increased sexual desire accelerates blood flow to the penis.

Special Symptoms
Special symptoms may include visual abnormalities, such as a sensation of seeing through blue-tinted glasses, inability to distinguish between blue and green, and other abnormal visual phenomena.

In most cases, these are temporary symptoms and not a cause for concern. However, if vision significantly deteriorates, there is a risk of Non-arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION).

If symptoms such as sudden severe vision loss or blindness occur, immediately consult an ophthalmologist.

If a painful erection persists for more than 4 hours, there may be a risk of Priapism (Persistent Erection).

If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

※What is Non-arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION)?
Ischemic optic neuropathy is a condition where blood supply to the optic nerve is interrupted, leading to dysfunction or necrosis of optic nerve cells. Although the causal relationship is not yet clear, studies suggest a weak association with users of ED treatment drugs.

※What is Priapism (Persistent Erection)?
Priapism, also known as persistent erection, is a condition where an erection persists and cannot subside normally or is extremely difficult to subside. Its main cause is dysfunction in the arterial system within the corpora cavernosa of the penis. If an erection persists for more than 4 hours and does not subside, seek medical help immediately.

Contraindications
Contraindicated drugs are those that interact with Aslan and must not be taken simultaneously.

・Nitrates and NO donor drugs
(Nitroglycerin, Amyl Nitrite, Isosorbide Dinitrate)
Concomitant use may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect.

・Amiodarone Hydrochloride
(Cordarone Tablets)
Concomitant use may exacerbate the QT interval prolongation caused by amiodarone hydrochloride.

Precautions for Concomitant Use
Drugs requiring precautions for concomitant use are those that require special attention when used with Aslan.

・Grapefruit (including juice)
The furanocoumarins it contains inhibit the activity of metabolic enzymes in the body, slowing drug breakdown.
This may lead to excessive absorption of drug components, increasing the risk of enhanced efficacy or side effects.

・CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers
Ritonavir, Saquinavir, Darunavir

・Antihypertensive drugs
Aslan itself has a blood pressure-lowering effect. Concomitant use with antihypertensive drugs may cause temporary symptoms of low blood pressure such as dizziness and lightheadedness.

- Please store in a place avoiding direct sunlight, dry and cool.

- Please place out of reach of children.

- To prevent accidental ingestion or product deterioration, do not change the original packaging container.

- If you need to consume a single package in multiple times, store the remaining portion as airtight as possible, and consume within 2 days.
