A couple of weeks ago we went to a friend’s birthday party, and I took it earlier in the night knowing we’d be out late. After hours of socializing, dancing, and having fun, I still had the energy and focus when we got home. Normally I’d be too tired after such an evening, but this time I was relaxed, confident, and ready. It made the night end on such a positive note, and my partner even mentioned the next morning how different and present I felt.

We went away for a weekend trip to the coast. After walking around all day, I thought I’d be too tired to enjoy the evening, but I still felt strong and in control later that night. It turned an ordinary trip into something we’ll both remember.

A few nights ago we went to a friend’s birthday party. I took it earlier in the evening, knowing we’d be out late. We laughed, danced, and enjoyed the company, and by the time we got back home I felt steady, focused, and completely relaxed. Normally after a night like that I’d be too drained to even think about being intimate, but this time it was completely different. The balance of energy and calmness was just right, and it allowed us to end the evening in such a positive way. My partner commented the next morning about how present and engaged I was, and that meant a lot to me.
